WebNTech founded Solaax, specializing in providing solutions for large events and venus. Initially, they served the government event sector, such as the World Government Summit. In 2021, they expanded into the commercial sector, covering events like the Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi. WebNTech is a leader in the government event sector, offering services like ticketing, access control systems, and access control hardware. With their developed product Solaax they are offering a comprehensive suite of services, including registration, ticketing, access control, venue management.
The challenge
WebNTech has been on a constant lookout for opportunities to set new standards in the event industry. Starting with guest registration, they developed the Software Solaax with the goal to streamline venue processes and integrate their software which is able to read QR codes in 0.2 seconds. They aimed to introduce technology that would significantly speed up access control processes at venues, with the person managing QR codes simply needing to look at the code for swift processing with the help of an AR Smartglass.
The requirements for the glasses were specific: lightweight, easy to use without the need for display adjustments, high-quality camera, and efficient battery usage.
The solution
The Vuzix Blade 2 emerged as the ideal choice for WebNTech due to its user-friendly design, camera quality, and the ability to simply put on the glasses for operation. Planning to conduct a demo during the Formula 1 event in Abu Dhabi, WebNTech focused on the camera quality and ease of use, considering the importance of quick QR code reading. They developed the Solaax software to work seamlessly with the Vuzix Blade 2, enabling QR code reading in just 0.2 seconds. The successful demo would pave the way for further deployment, with plans to equip staff in access control, food and beverage stands, and even explore applications in crowd management and security.
WebNTech found VR Expert to be instrumental in their quest for the right headset. The collaboration with VR Expert was described as smooth, with trial devices provided for testing different headsets. Ultimately, the Vuzix Blade 2 was chosen for its camera quality, ease of use, and lightweight design.
Looking ahead, WebNTech envisions expanding the use of VR technology beyond QR code reading. The potential applications include crowd management, security purposes and integrating the technology into various aspects of event management.
"We were looking for a device that is easy to use, and the Vuzix Blade 2 was perfect because we could just put on the glasses. VR Expert was very helpful, and the process with them was smooth."
